Aussies treated to spectacular aurora display following severe geomagnetic storm

The strongest geomagnetic storm in two decades has delivered a spectacular aurora display from Tasmania all the way up to southeast Queensland.
Hundreds of people came out to catch a glimpse of the extraordinary event in Tasmania.
The event began at about 10pm Tuesday night and lasted well into the early hours of Wednesday morning.
