Tech leaders are warning about the catastrophic harms posed by artificial intelligence, if left unchecked by government oversight. Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is the latest voice to call for legislation. On NBC’s Meet the Press, Gates said that AI could be powerful enough to potentially cause “a billion deaths.”
