Blanche faces grilling on Epstein files, $1.8B fund & more in AG hearing

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche is set to testify before a Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearing. Senators will likely ask Blanche about his handling of the Epstein files, the $1.776B "anti-weaponization fund" and whether he can be independent from President Trump.

His confirmation as the attorney general by the Senate isn’t assured. Sen. Lindsey Graham’s sudden death left the Judiciary Committee Republicans with just one vote to lose, a razor-thin margin of error that has given the few Republicans with hesitations an ability to negotiate with the department on matters most important to them.
