Ten years after her last studio album, Britney Spears has sold her music catalog to publisher Primary Wave, according to multiple outlets. While the price tag for Britney’s music was not disclosed, legal docs obtained by TMZ show she signed away the ownership share of her music catalog in December. Musicians like Justin Bieber, Bruce Springsteen and Shakira have also parted ways with the ownership of their music in sales to other companies, while Taylor Swift’s masters were famously sold by her former label Big Machine Records in 2019 before she purchased them from Shamrock Capital in 2025.
