Chemical Tank at Risk of Exploding as 40,000 Residents Evacuate

A huge industrial tank filled with a toxic chemical is at risk of exploding in Orange County, California, and efforts to cool the tank and buy more time are failing. The situation has put 40,000 thousand people under mandatory evacuation orders and Gov. Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency. NBC’s Steve Patterson reports for TODAY.
