China says it will strengthen military coordination with Russia

China will work with Russia to boost strategic military cooperation, the Chinese Defense Ministry said on January 29. Spokesperson Jiang Bin said the commitment followed a video call earlier this week between Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun and his Russian counterpart Andrei Belousov. During the talks, the two sides agreed to enhance mutual support on issues involving each other’s core interests. Jiang added that military cooperation between the two countries is aimed at contributing to international and regional stability and promoting world peace.
