City of Oceanside cracks down on reckless e-bike riders

Stricter e-bike rules are coming to Oceanside, and for riders who break the law, the consequences could go beyond a ticket. Under a new ordinance approved by the Oceanside City Council, police will now be allowed to temporarily confiscate and impound e-bikes from riders who operate them recklessly, fail to ride safely, or rack up multiple violations.
