CNN has been forced to acknowledge that gas prices have reached a three-and-a-half-year low of $2.95 a gallon under the Trump administration.

This signals a massive drop from the all-time high set back in 2022 under former US President Joe Biden, which peaked above $5 a gallon.

Energy Secretary Chris Wright says inflation-adjusted gasoline prices are the lowest they have been in 20 years, with the exception of a COVID-era blip.

President Trump claimed his administration is "crushing" inflation and that "prices are coming down tremendously."

Trump also blames Joe Biden and the Democrats for consumer prices, which have risen during the year since he returned to the White House.
