Congressman slams Hegseth for ‘lying’ about Iran war; Hegseth shames him for calling it ‘a quagmire’

Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth exploded at Rep. John Garamendi during a House Armed Services Committee hearing after the Democratic congressman accused him of "lying to the public about this war from day one."
"You have misled the public about why we are at war," Garamendi railed at Hegseth. "You and the President have offered ever changing reasons for this war. You misled the public about the progress of this war."
Garamendi’s time expired before Hegseth could answer, but the Pentagon chief hit back during his next answer, saying, "shame on you for calling this a quagmire."
