Israeli attacks leave at least 20 dead in Gaza

Appointed Sen. Darline Graham, the sister of the late Sen. Lindsey Graham, has advanced to a primary runoff to take her brother’s place as the GOP nominee. Graham will face Rep. Ralph Norman, who claimed the second spot to head to the Republican run-off for South Carolina’s open Senate seat.
Because no candidates will win over 50% of the vote, the top two candidates from Aug. 11 – projected as Graham and Norman – will face off in two weeks, on Aug. 25, for the Republican nomination for the general election in November. The winner of that will face Democratic nominee Annie Andrews and a slew of other third-party and independent candidates in November.
