Phoenix Police arrested 46-year-old Eric Dustin Hodge after he allegedly struck and killed bicyclist Hannah Rose Henry, 26, in a hit-and-run crash Feb. 8.
Court documents state Hodge admitted to smoking fentanyl before getting behind the wheel and falling asleep.
While Hodge claimed he believed he hit a fire hydrant rather than a person, investigators found evidence of the collision on his van at his residence. Hodge now faces several charges, including manslaughter and leaving the scene of a fatal accident. FOX 10’s Taylor Wirtz reports.
