The CV90 would be the backbone of European forces if Russia was to invade. The Sun’s Defence Editor, Jerome Starkey, travelled to Sweden to investigate why this IFV is so coveted. We were given rare access to test drive the CV90 and talk to the engineers about why this vehicle is in such high demand. The CV90 has earned it’s combat stripes in Ukraine as it battles Putin’s forces on the Frontline and is set to become the most widely used IFV in Europe. As the British Ajax project faces massive difficulties, why have BAE Systems been able to successfully manufacture NATO’s prize combat vehicle?
