Military expert Hamish de Bretton-Gordon says a ‘weak’ Vladimir Putin should be ‘worried’ as Germany plans to boost its military to the tune of 200,000 people over the next ten years.

German chancellor Friedrich Merz has promised to build Europe’s “strongest conventional army”, with Berlin embarking on its biggest rearmament drive since the Second World War.

Military expert de Bretton-Gordon has called on Britain to ‘put its money where its mouth is’ and follow suit.
