China and the Republic of Korea (ROK) stand at a pivotal moment in their bilateral relationship. How can the two countries seize new opportunities for cooperation, and what role can pragmatic diplomacy play amid growing global uncertainty? In this episode of Leaders Talk, CMG’s Zou Yun sits down with ROK President Lee Jae Myung on the eve of his state visit to China from January 4 to 7, his first overseas trip of the year. The conversation highlights the foundations of the strategic cooperative partnership, the role of pragmatic diplomacy focused on national interests in a changing world, and the importance of China’s high-quality development and people-to-people exchanges. President Lee also shares his views on regional security, including the challenges posed by ROK-DPRK tensions on the Korean Peninsula, and the need to pursue stability and minimize conflict for the benefit of all citizens. #ROK #LeadersTalk #CGTNSubscribe
