FDA Approves ‘Game-Changing’ Pancreatic Cancer Drug

The FDA approved a daily pill called Rasonque, that in clinical trials doubled survival time for many patients compared to chemotherapy alone. NBC’s medical contributor Dr. Natalie Azar joins TODAY to break down how the drug impacts cancer treatment. “This particular medicine is targeting a protein that has eluded scientists for literally decades,” she says.
