A former anchor on American broadcaster CNN has been taken into custody following a protest in Minnesota.
According to his lawyer, Don Lemon was arrested after a rally he was documenting disrupted a church service earlier this month.
US Senator Cory Booker posted a statement to X, saying, “Arresting a journalist is a blatant attempt to intimidate and a further indicator of Trump’s authoritarianism. It goes against the most fundamental American values outlined in the First Amendment.”
