President Donald Trump said Wednesday that a preliminary agreement with Iran "achieves everything" the U.S. set out to accomplish in the war "and much more," as he addressed journalists at the conclusion of a Group of Seven summit.
World leaders at the G7 summit on Wednesday said they welcomed the agreement that the United States is set to formally sign with Iran later in the week, which halts the war and advance talks to end Iran’s nuclear program.
In addition to remarks on the Iran deal, Trump also spoke about his relationship with Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine and immigration in the United States.
