This edition of ‘To The Point’ with Preeti Choudhry examines the controversy surrounding the Netflix thriller ‘Ghooskhor Pandat’ following protests from Brahmin groups. The program features advocate Vineet Jindal and political analyst Tehseen Poonawalla discussing freedom of expression versus religious sentiments after an FIR was filed in Uttar Pradesh. The broadcast also highlights the viral case of Dinesh Verma from Indore, who secured his blind mother’s widow pension arrears after an emotional public breakdown. Further reporting covers the death of a 25-year-old man in Delhi who fell into an open pit, leading to the suspension of Delhi Jal Board officials and allegations of a cover-up by Saurabh Bhardwaj. Additional segments address the daylight murder of AAP leader Lucky Oberoi in Jalandhar, raising law and order concerns in Punjab, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ interaction with students. The panel analyzes whether creative liberty is being selectively targeted amidst increasing demands for censorship and administrative accountability across India.
