Rihanna Spotted Heading to César Restaurant in Paris After Céline Dion Concert
By Rodrigo Santos Andrade
Town officials are considering a 25% increase in water and waste service rates to fund critical infrastructure projects and manage dwindling Colorado River allocations. If approved, the move would represent the third straight year of utility rate hikes for local residents.
The Gilbert Town Council is evaluating two separate timelines for the increase: a single 25% jump taking effect this April, or a tiered approach featuring two 14% increases scheduled for 2026 and 2027.
Public input will be gathered during a second open house scheduled for Feb. 12. A final vote on the proposal is expected during the council’s Feb. 17 meeting.
