Govt To bring notice For Privilege Motion Against Rahul For Misleading House | Expunged Remarks

0 February 11, 2026 15:23

A privilege motion notice is likely to be filed against Rahul Gandhi following the expunging of a major portion of his recent speech in Parliament. The move comes after allegations were made against the Union Minister and the Prime Minister without prior notice, which the government has termed baseless. Reports indicate that the notice is expected to be served as the Congress leader has reportedly not substantiated the claims made during his address. The situation has led to increased tension between the government and the opposition, with expectations of minimal legislative work and continued friction in the remaining days of the budget session. The government had previously indicated that failure to provide evidence for the allegations would result in formal action. As the session progresses, the focus remains on the procedural fallout of the expunged remarks and the impending privilege notice in the Lok Sabha.
