Are modern tanks obsolete?

For years, critics have predicted the absolute end of the tank. Yet, the tank always evolves.

Today, military armour faces its greatest existential threat yet: thousands of $500 FPV kamikaze drones capable of hunting and destroying multi-million dollar main battle tanks.

Tank Command author and former tank commander, Hamish de Bretton-Gordon, breaks down the brutal reality of modern asymmetric warfare.

We dive deep into why Russia has lost over 6,000 tanks in Ukraine, the critical engineering flaws that cause Russian turrets to explode, and the secret design elements allowing Western armour like the British Challenger 2 to survive drone impacts and return to the front lines.

Finally, we take a look into the terrifying future of armour: the upcoming Challenger 3, automated active protection systems that shoot down drone swarms from miles away, and the rise of completely autonomous, unmanned AI tank fleets.
