The 2026 FIFA World Cup has provided North Americans with a front-row seat – in stadiums, living rooms and bars across the country – to “The Beautiful Game” and given visiting fans a taste of America. While soccer’s diehard fans around the globe obsessed over the United States’ restaurants and ranch dressing, Americans fell in love with players like Norway’s “Striking Viking,” Erling Haaland.
