The latest forecast from the National Hurricane Center Friday said that Isaias is expected to remain a major hurricane right until it hits land, with winds of at least 111 mph.
In a 11 a.m. ET update, the hurricane center said that "Isaias [is] expected to reach the western Florida Panhandle coast this evening. Life-threatening storm surge and devastating winds [are] likely along the Florida Panhandle and Alabama coasts."
