Indonesian stocks continue slump as financial regulators meet MSCI for talks

Indonesian markets are feeling the brunt of the price plunge in precious and industrial metals. The benchmark Jakarta Composite ended the day about 5% lower, extending a steep drop seen last week following index provider MSCI’s warning about the lack of transparency in the country’s financial markets. Regulators have since promised to fast-track reforms and met with MSCI officials earlier today. Saifulbahri Ismail reports from Jakarta.
