Infernos burn in Belfast & water cannons fired on thugs in 2nd night of unrest as violence flares

Protesting yobs are wreaking havoc in Belfast for a second night as chaos and disorder continue to grip parts of the city.

Violence has erupted on the streets as masked troublemakers clash with police in scenes of mayhem with vehicles set ablaze and bricks thrown.

Scores of riot police officers have been deployed to deal with the demonstrations amid a huge security operation.

Smoke was seen billowing near the Sandyknowes roundabout eight miles northwest of Belfast city centre, with a lorry engulfed in flames nearby.
