Inside Ukraine’s masterclass Donetsk counter-blitz that freed 26 settlements

Ukrainian forces have executed a rapid counter-offensive across the Donetsk region, liberating 26 settlements in a high-speed combined-arms push. Utilising aggressive manoeuvre warfare and precision artillery ambushes, defenders routed Russian mechanized columns and decimated armour reinforcements before they could reach the frontline.

Across the contested sector, coordinated drone interdiction and long-range fires caught advancing units in inescapable kill zones. The sudden operational breakthrough has severed critical enemy supply lines, forcing Russian command into a retreat and securing vital defensive positions across the region.

Former military intelligence planner Philip Ingram breaks down the tactical execution, battlefield intelligence, and strategic planning behind Ukraine’s successful Donetsk counter-blitz.
