Is Andy Burnham the next Labour disaster waiting to happen?

0 June 22, 2026 09:26

FORMER Sun Political Editor Trevor Kavanagh delivers a blistering verdict on the sensational downfall of Sir Keir Starmer and warns of the profound economic and political chaos headed for Britain.

Following Starmer’s emotional resignation, Kavanagh exposes the internal ‘act of treachery’ that brought down a Prime Minister with a landslide majority after barely two years.

He rings the alarm on what comes next: a potential market meltdown as ‘zombie government’ grips Whitehall, the defence blindspots leaving the UK vulnerable to Russia, and why Andy Burnham’s sudden charge for the crown could trigger a brutal Labour civil war.

Is British politics fundamentally broken? Can the financial markets survive weeks of a leaderless nation? Trevor Kavanagh reveals all.
