‘It will be a regional war’: Iran’s Supreme Leader warns Trump against strikes

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has warned US President Donald Trump against launching strikes on his country, insisting any attack would lead to a regional war.
“This gentleman keeps claiming that we have brought warships and done this or that. I think you shouldn’t scare the Iranian nation with such things, as it won’t be affected by such remarks,” he said.
“It doesn’t fear rightful confrontation – we are not the instigators, and we do not seek to attack any country, but the Iranian nation will deliver a firm blow to anyone who attacks or harasses it.
“The Americans must be aware that if they wage war this time, it will be a regional war.”
President Trump responded to those comments, pushing Iran to make a deal on nuclear weapons.
This comes as the US is building up its military assets in the region, and Reuters reports American and Israeli generals held talks this morning amid the tension.
