US Vice President JD Vance calls on local officials to cooperate with federal agents.
“The reason why things have gotten so out of hand is because of the failure of cooperation between the state and local authorities and what these guys are trying to do,” Mr Vance said.
“The local authorities have been told to stand down, do not help ICE, promote the violence, promote the agitation.
“Please, if you’re a local official, if you’re the mayor of this town, if you have any influence over those people, just tell them to cooperate.”
