‘Just unbearable’: Youth allowance payment labelled ‘woefully inadequate’

Australian Council of Social Service CEO Cassandra Goldie claims the government youth allowance payment is “woefully inadequate".

“It’s just unbearable to try and survive on that,” Dr Goldie told Sky News Australia.

“We recommend this payment should go up to at least 60 per cent of the minimum wage.”
