Karoline Leavitt blames ‘tragic’ shooting on ‘hostile’ Democrat leaders in Minnesota

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt addressed the shooting of 37-year-old protester Alex Pretti by a Border Patrol agent in Minneapolis.
The press secretary called the situation chaos, saying nobody in the White House wants to see people getting hurt or killed on American streets.
At a different point during the press briefing, Leavitt said President Donald Trump labelled the shooting a “tragedy”.
The press secretary goes on to say Saturday’s shooting remains under active investigation by Homeland Security Investigations and the FBI.
Leavitt then blamed the Democratic leaders of Minnesota for the “tragedy” for encouraging “deliberate and hostile resistance”.
The press secretary said Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey “shamefully” blocked state and local law enforcement from cooperating with ICE.
