Karoline Leavitt rips into Republican Senator for holding America ‘hostage’

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has sent a harsh message to Republican Senator Thom Tillis, accusing him of holding America “hostage”.
Senator Tillis recently vowed to oppose any Federal Reserve nomination if the Justice Department’s investigation of US Central Bank chief Jerome Powell continues.
US President Donald Trump has nominated Kevin Warsh to be the next chair of the Federal Reserve.
Tillis took to social media to comment on Trump’s announcement, saying Warsh was a “qualified nominee” but slammed the DOJ for pursuing its criminal investigation.
In an interview on Fox News, Leavitt took on the senator, saying he was holding America and its economy “hostage” because he had “some political disagreements with an investigation”.
