Kashechewan evacuation continues amid tainted water crisis

Hundreds have been evacuated from Kashechewan First Nation after a sewage pump failure contaminated the water plant. A ‘Do Not Consume’ advisory is in effect for the remote northern Ontario community. Indigenous leaders are demanding government action on the chronic infrastructure crisis on reserves.
