Keir Starmer’s top aide forced to resign following fallout over Mandelson-Epstein scandal

The chief of staff to UK’s Prime Minister Keir Starmer has been forced to resign over his role in the appointment of Peter Mandelson as ambassador to the US.
Morgan McSweeney had been under growing pressure after a number of Labour MPs called for him to be removed from his role.
Mr McSweeney’s departure now leaves the UK prime minister at a crossroads.
