King Charles III is taking a stance as new details emerge about the conduct of his brother Andrew Mountbatten‑Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew. Following the release of files related to Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged network, Buckingham Palace issued a statement on Feb. 9 emphasizing the King’s willingness to fully support any investigation involving Thames Valley Police. According to the spokesperson, Charles has made “unprecedented actions” that reflect his “profound concern” regarding the ongoing allegations, adding that the specific claims are for Andrew himself to address. The Palace further reiterated that the King and Queen Camilla’s “thoughts and sympathies remain with the victims of any and all forms of abuse.” This latest statement follows the royal couple’s decision last October to strip Andrew of his titles and remove him from his residence at the Royal Lodge. He now lives on the family’s Sandringham estate. Andrew, who settled a civil lawsuit with Virginia Giuffre in 2022, continues to deny all allegations but has acknowledged that the controversy became a significant distraction for the royal family.
