Industry and Innovation Minister Tim Ayres says the Albanese government has had a “tight approach” to fiscal discipline.
Mr Ayres told Sky News Australia that they have had two surpluses during their time in government.
“The treasurer and finance minister and all of us understand our responsibility.”
