Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell claims Liberal sources have indicated there will be a Liberal leadership spill on the first day of Parliament when the Liberal party room sits.
“Somehow the Coalition had made what had been a political crisis in the wake of Bondi for Prime Minister Anthony Albanese become an existential crisis for them,” he said.
Mr Clennell claims Ms Ley “doesn’t believe” there’ll be a leadership spill in the coming days.
“Those who want a leadership change hope Sussan Ley will just quit. So, a lot of forlorn hopes out there, and it’s going to all have to come to a head,” he said.
