‘Legally invalid’: The Clintons refuse to testify in Epstein probe

Former US president Bill Clinton and former secretary of state Hillary Clinton are refusing to testify in the Jeffrey Epstein trial.
The Clintons are criticising the Republican-controlled committee’s attempts as “legally invalid” after being subpoenaed in August.
In an eight-page letter to Republican representative James Comer, the pair made it clear they will not appear for the closed-door questioning.
Lawmakers are preparing a contempt of Congress proceedings against them.
