Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro pleaded not guilty to charges of drugs, weapons and narco-terrorism in a New York court on Monday, two days after being seized by U.S. forces in a stunning raid on his home in Caracas.
Meanwhile, the UN Security Council held an emergency meeting, during which Venezuelan UN ambassador Samuel Moncada requested action following the U.S. strikes. Multiple countries condemned the U.S. "crime of aggression," and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres suggested the operation constituted a breach of international law. #CGTNOnsite #Venezuela
