China on Sunday voiced support for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council following a U.S. military strike on Venezuela, expressing grave concern over Washington’s handling of President Maduro and calling for respect for international law.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said on Monday that the United States must release Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, condemning Washington’s unlawful actions against Venezuela’s sovereignty.
In remarks on Sunday, Trump said the United States was monitoring protests in Iran "very closely" and would hit Iran "very hard" if protesters were killed.
