Live view of Muscat’s skyline as the United States and Iran hold crucial talks in Oman, focusing on Tehran’s nuclear program. The Iranian delegations are led by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and the U.S.’s are led by U.S. President’s special envoy Steve Witkoff.
Tensions remain high between the United States and Iran. U.S. President Donald Trump has built up forces in the Middle East and threatened military action if Iran does not agree to a deal on its nuclear program. Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf warned that Tehran would view U.S. and Israeli bases and facilities in the Middle East as "legitimate targets" if Washington takes military action against Iran. #CGTNOnSite
