Political Analyst Joe Siracusa has claimed the Venezuelan president was likely “sold out” by someone in his own ranks.
This comes amid the capture of Nicolas Maduro by US forces.
“I would bet … Maduro was sold out, was betrayed in his home ranks,” Mr Siracusa told Sky News Australia.
“There would have been somebody who decided that it was time to sell the old boy.
“Otherwise, it’s pretty hard to explain how the American intelligence agencies were able to know where he was at 3 o’clock in the morning.”
