Mamdani signs executive order revoking his predecessors’ orders

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has used his first day in office to sign an executive order revoking orders made by his predecessor.
Any orders made by Eric Adams after his September 2024 indictment on Federal Corruption charges have been reversed.
Included are two orders Mr Adams touted as support for Israel.
One barred city agencies from divesting from or boycotting Israel, the other expanded the definition of antisemitism.
Mr Mamdani did not revoke the creation of the Mayor’s Office to Combat Antisemitism.
