Man jailed for supplying hundreds of small boats and engines to Channel people smugglers
Turkish national Adem Savas, 45, was caged for 11 years after making millions selling boats and engines to smugglers for around £4,000.
Detectives believe Savas supplied vessels used in thousands of crossings, with some likely to have been "involved in numerous fatal" voyages.
Investigators believe Savas supplied equipment used in half of all the Channel crossings in 2023.
He was unmasked after he appeared in a probe into a seperate smuggling kingpin, Kurdish crime boss Hewa Rahimpur.
