Mel Gibson and his longtime girlfriend Rosalind Ross have officially parted ways. The couple, who share 8-year-old son Lars, confirmed to People that they broke up in 2024 after nearly a decade together. In a joint statement, they said: “Although it’s sad to end this chapter in our lives, we are blessed with a beautiful son and will continue to be the best parents possible.” Their split comes almost a year after tragedy struck when their Malibu home was destroyed in the Los Angeles wildfires. Throughout their relationship, Mel, 69, and Rosalind, 35, faced public scrutiny over their 34-year age gap, but the ‘Braveheart’ star often dismissed criticism, saying in 2016: “age is just a number.” Mel Gibson is also a father to seven children with his ex-wife Robyn Moore, and shares a daughter with his ex Oksana Grigorieva.
