The US Department of Homeland Security has defended the fatal shooting of US citizen Alex Pretti as a means of self-defence.
Many officials are disputing the DHS’ claim and instead calling for the removal of ICE agents from Minneapolis.
Tensions in the city are high as protests continue over the death of Mr Pretti.
The Minnesota National Guard has been activated to aid and reinforce law enforcement.
