Morgan McSweeney quits in HUGE new blow for Keir Starmer

Sir Keir Starmer’s chief of staff Morgan McSweeney has resigned over the Lord Peter Mandalson scandal.
The Prime Minister’s right-hand man said the decision to appoint the peer as US ambassador was "wrong" and he takes "full responsibility" for advising the Prime Minister to do so.
In a statement, Mr McSweeney said: "After careful reflection, I have decided to resign from the Government.
The decision to appoint Peter Mandelson was wrong. He has damaged our party, our country and trust in politics itself.
