Shocking new footage shows who appears to be Alex Pretti in a physical altercation with ICE officers more than a week before his death.
The video allegedly captures the ICU nurse spitting at federal immigration officers and smashing the tail lights of their SUV.
The BBC said it has verified the legitimacy of the footage published by The News Movement.
The man in the video was taken to the ground by at least five agents, who then deployed tear gas into the crowd.
A family spokesperson confirmed the man in the video was Pretti, and said he sustained injuries during the altercation.
A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security said investigators are reviewing the video.
