Former foreign minister Alexander Downer says US President Donald Trump is “not afraid” of his foes as he travels to Davos to talk at the World Economic Forum.
“He’s courage personified, Donald Trump,” Mr Downer told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“I think his tactics are often very abrasive and slightly outrageous, but honestly, you couldn’t say the man lacked courage.
“He goes to Davos, he must be the most hated person in Davos … he goes over there, and he makes a speech, criticises the Europeans in a justified way, frankly.
“He’s not afraid to confront his foes.”
