US political analyst Aidan Smith discusses the “unspeakably tragic” shooting in Minneapolis.
Minnesota has descended into chaos after a 37-year-old US citizen was shot by federal immigration agents, sparking more protests.
According to the Department of Homeland Security, the agent acted in self-defence as the man was alleged to have been armed with a gun.
“Really just shows that this could be what we’re seeing in Minneapolis, potentially a turning point,” Mr Smith told Sky News Australia.
“I think this is something that is instilling a lot of really, really pent-up frustration among a lot of Americans.”
